EPS is an international course entirely taught in English with a highly qualified interdisciplinary learning track, integrating advanced analytical tools in Economics, Political sciences and Quantitative methods.

The EPS degree is a multidisciplinary programme, presenting a balanced offer of courses in economics and political science and quantitative methods.

During the first year, students will be trained in advanced general tools of the three disciplines, whereas in the II year teaching focuses on advanced topics in the domains of international economics and politics.

Training also includes internships in international organizations, or businesses, in-house laboratories and the writing of a final dissertation.

 

Entry Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree

Applicants should have earned at least 60 ECTS credits or equivalent in the following fields: business administration, computer science, economics, law, management, mathematics, philosophy, political science, sociology or statistics.

  • English language proficiency

The knowledge of English will be assessed during the admission interview. A IELTS or TOEFl will be taken in account.

  • Mathematics and Quantitative methods background

Applicants must have earned at least 6 ECTS credits in Mathematics or Quantitative methods.

Candidates lacking this requirement will have to attend a crash course in Mathematics. Crash courses is Statistics and Microeconomics are also offered.

Scores in GRE or GMAT will also be taken in account in evaluating of the application.

The EPS degree is designed to train students in advanced methodologies, analytical tools and quantitative and qualitative techniques used in all fields of economics and political science.

EPS graduates will be ready to undertake a wide array of career paths in multinational companies, political institutions, public organizations, and other professions demanding high intellectual skills, robust technical competencies and versatile knowledge. They will also be well prepared to engage in further academic research in top PhD programmes.

91% of the EPS graduates in 2012 are actively employed or have enrolled in PhD programs. Among them, 41% are now based abroad and 59% in Italy. 37% are analysts or consultants in marketing/sales sector, 11% work as analysts, brokers or consultants in banking/finance/insurance sector, 11% in international organizations and public administrations, 8% work in Web/Tv sector, 7% in public relations sector. Finally, 26% are pursuing a PhD, in Italian and foreign universities.
